Tartan Day 2014

The 11th Annual Tartan Day Ceilidh is on Sunday, April 5th 2014. We host the State’s official Tartan Day Ceilidh celebration and we will invite other Scottish organizations from around the Michigan to join us. In 2013 we had over 200 people in attendance once again at Monaghan's Knights of Columbus in Livonia. We will have all sorts of Scottish entertainment, including he return of Raggle Taggle Band, Highland Dancers, raffles, and a fantastic meal. We use this event to raise money for the Alma College Scholarship Fund.

Our Robert Burns celebrations each January are complete sell-outs and then some! People come from all over Metro Detroit and beyond for an afternoon filled with the music and songs of Robert Burns, plus a great meal, Pipers Highland Dancers, Raggle Taggle Band, Address to The Haggis, fun toasts and more.

Our Robert Burns celebration last year was incredible! We had 160 people in attendance and everyone was smiles from ear to ear! People came from all over Metro Detroit, and we even had one man drive up from Kentucky to attend the event with a friend of the Society. We had a fantastic afternoon filled with the music and songs of Robert Burns, plus a great meal, and plenty of entertainment. 2014 will feature the Address to the Haggis, pipers, Highland Dancers, Scottish Sing-A-Long, the Detroit Royal Scottish Country Dancers, Toast to the Lads and Lasses, Other fun toasts, Haggis, complete steak pie meal, and more.
